Initial Fee: The Initial Fee covers the cost of designing and setting up the website. It is a one time fee. The Initial Fee varies from site to site depending on the size of the site, the amount of graphics necessary, whether a logo exists, and the amount of user interaction needed.

Domain Name Fee: The domain name-leasing fee is $25, for example: www.restaurant.com. The lease on a domain name lasts for one year. After this year the company, Register.com, will email a message saying that it is time to renew or end your ownership of your domain name

Monthly Server Fees: The Monthly Server Fee is $25. It is the cost of keeping the website on the Internet. Server Fees do not begin until the website is agreed upon and a free month is also given.

CONSIDERATIONS: What will your website require? Ask yourself these questions:

• Do you already own a logo?
  
• Do you want to change this logo?
  
• What, if any, colors are associated with your business?
  
• Do you own any graphics including pictures that you would like to include on your site?
  
• Will pictures of the business need to be taken?
  
• Do you already have an email address for your business?
  
• What links do you think are essential to the site? For example a restaurant may have the following links: Home Page, Directions Page, Lunch Menu, Dinner, Desserts, Wines, Banquets, Catering, Contact/Email Form Page.
  
• How soon do you anticipate the site’s completion?
  
• When your site is submitted to search engines, for example AltaVista and HotBot, keywords are needed in order for users to find your site. Usually 25-30 words are allowed. What keywords do you think will help users locate your website? For example: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, seafood restaurant, shrimp, Italian food, baton rouge, Gonzalez, Cajun, steak, dining, Louisiana, dinner, cater, dinner, entree.
